Wear the Vision

An MEC Company

Madison Color is the ready-to-wear subsidiary of MEC, created with a clear mission: to give blind and visually impaired individuals the ability to choose their wardrobe independently through the integration of braille directly on the clothing. The brand combines fashion, inclusion, and innovation through meaningful apparel.

Baby Madison: "It all began in 2005. When one day, my creator Mason Ewing was outside with a sighted friend when one of Mason’s blind friends came over to greet him. After he left, the sighted friend quietly said to Mason:
“Poor guy… nobody told him.”

He then explained that Mason’s friend was wearing a pink shirt, green pants, and orange shoes without realizing it.

Deeply moved by this moment, Mason began thinking about a solution that would allow blind and visually impaired people to choose their clothing without depending on others.

That is how the idea of integrating braille into Madison Color garments was born. The braille indicates the Pattern-Color-Size, creating a more independent, accessible, and inclusive experience."

The Heart of Madison Color

Baby Madison is the heart of Madison Color. More than a mascot, Baby Madison represents creativity, inclusion, imagination, and fashion beyond sight. Through every design, the character brings a unique artistic identity to the Madison Color universe.

"For all my blind and visually impaired friends, because you should never be left aside, and because it is your right to know, I am an 11-month-old baby with mixed-race skin, slanted blue eyes and a blond lock of hair. I am currently wearing a royal blue Madison Color tank top featuring the Madison Color logo on the chest, with a gold background and royal blue lettering. I am also wearing a white diaper and beautiful golden sandals while waving hello to you. Behind me stands Jonathanland Train Station, in my hometown of Jonathanland."
